Before pregnancy, you probably had a clear idea about whether you were going to be a working mum or a stay at home mum. Maybe you love your career and are sure you’ll be straight back, or perhaps you were sure that you wanted to stay at home to be with your baby.
Then the baby arrived….. and your life was well and truly been turned upside down.
You probably felt like you have spent the last 9 months on maternity leave covered in sick and smelling of poo….. BUT WHAT NOW?
Some people may look and think you have well truly fucked up your career by getting pregnant. That you have no choice but to be a full-time mum or work in a part-time role that doesn’t fulfil your ambitions.
Are you still sure that you want to be a full-time working mum with a busy career?
Are you sure you want to spend 24hrs a day at home being mum?
Maybe you fall into the third category, the one that I fall into. I call it…
“Ambitious mum who loves her kids but also wants a successful career.’ (catchy hey?)
Whether you have the most supportive employer in the world, you have been out of the game doing your baby thing and you just know things are going to be harder when you return…. Even just the simple thing like logistics of getting to work and childcare… nevermind all that you have missed whilst you have been at home for 9 months.
Breastfeeding, nursery drop-offs, sick days, just the essence of actually wanting to see your baby, these are all issues that the 9-5 day of being a working mum does not lend itself to very well
Yes, there is flexi-time….. but seriously how flexible is flexi-time….. it’s just a term that the business world came up with to show willing.
Most women see they have 3 choices:
All of the choices above come with huge sacrifices in some form, one you may be happier with or maybe not…. BUT why should we have to choose?????
It suddenly dawns on you that the dream you had of climbing the ladder, of being successful in your career, just does not allow for motherhood……
And its so frustrating because why should you have to choose between being a mummy and being a successful woman with an amazing career just like you had planned… why do men get to be daddy and CEO or MD… with minimal sacrifice but as a woman you have to choose?
YOU CAN BE A HANDS-ON MUMMY AND BE PRESENT EVERY DAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN
YOU CAN HAVE A SUCCESSFUL CAREER!
After I had my son and twin girls I really struggled to balance being a working mum AND being there for my children.
I soon realised that returning to my career whilst running a house and spending time with my children was leaving us all unhappy.
I wanted a career AND I wanted to spend time with my children. So, I made my own way.
I designed the business model here at The Beautiful Method to work around my family and definitely not the other way around.
With this business model, you can do school drop off, pick up, be there for dinner time, do playdates after school, hell you can even do a yoga class every morning or meet friends for lunch….
And …. Here is the best bit…
You can do all the above whilst building a multi 6 figure business, and hell if you want to we can turn that into a 7 figure business!
We have the blueprint, the knowledge, the support team and everything you need to dive straight and start being successful whilst being there for your children.
We can be your support network, being there for you when you need us, and knowing all the ups and downs of being a mummy and a business owner… and yes there are ups and downs as that is just life but with a support network like ours… I promise your downs will not keep you down for long!
My son was 4 and my twins were 1 yrs old when I started my business and I have never worked outside of 9 am – 3 pm.
Be the CEO that your parents always wanted you to marry!
As a woman we can have it all, we do not have to sacrifice ourselves when we become a mummy. You can be a working mum and a stay at home mum, it’s just that the person you’re working for is yourself!
