I met with a friend last week for a coffee and a catch-up, and whilst we were socially distancing, stuffing our face with cake, my friend turned to me and asked me how was business and how had everything gone through the lockdown.
I replied: I was thankful for lockdown in a way as it gave me time to sit and reflect and to plan my course of action, It gave me the opportunity to really work on the franchise opportunity to get into the whole nitty-gritty of the whole process.
Whilst we were chatting I had a message through confirming a meeting to sign contracts with a new franchisee and I felt myself do a little happy dance, which made my friend ask what was that for.
As I explained she turned to me and said….. How the fuck did you even start to do all that? How did you know where to even begin? Why did you set up a cleaning company?….
I could never do that she said, I wouldn’t even know where to start or where to look or who to ask…
I had never looked at it like that before, I just knew 3 things:
It had always been my vision to franchise the business out across the UK, to provide an opportunity for other women who wanted more, who wanted to achieve more, who wanted more financial security, more flexibility but had absolutely no clue where or how to get there.
I read about inspirational businesswomen all the time, some of their stories are incredible and some women have had to overcome some enormous blocks to achieve what they set out to do.
But I also know that there are many women that are fighting their own fight in order to achieve their own greatness, these women could be stood next to you at the school gate, or behind you in the supermarket queue or could be the friend you are sharing a coffee with, OR YOU, you could be their inspiration and they could be sat there looking at you thinking WOW I don’t know how she does it.
